Practising bass part 2

Technique is something that takes a lot of time to improve and you have to be very patient with it. I tend to spend most of my 8 hours practising scales. Scales probably consists of 5 hours or even 6. I feel that if I know all the different positions of certain scales on the fretboard then that will help massively. The rest of my time is playing along to songs where I'll figure out bass lines, solo, groove and so on.
