We were told in the second week that we were going to have to perform 3 cover songs and write a new song with our new band. Due to our mix of genres that we like we found it very hard to decide on a song to cover. I suggested two songs, Forrest Gump - Frank Ocean & Little Wing - Originally by Jimi Hendrix but I had the Sting version in mind, but none were chosen. We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off by Ella Eyre was a song which we learnt and it was going to be one of our cover songs but at the end of the 3rd week we chose not to cover it. I feel that we should try to pick harder songs to help improve our musicianship and maybe some more well known songs so that we can reach out to a wide audience when it comes to performing our songs. I learnt that we might have to make sarcafises in terms of what songs we want to play. I like to listen and play metal, but nobody else really likes that music so we arew going to have to try and work out what we like to play and listen to so that we can improve and learn from each other. At the end of the day we want to do the best we can so by learnig from each other, challeneging our level of musicianship and being open minded to criticism and feedback we should all work well together and perform to the highest of our abitlites.
